In the town of Rethymnon visit the Fortezza castle, the Venetian port, the archaeological museum, the Neratzes mosque, which is used as an Odeon today and the Loggia, the most characteristic renaissance monument of Rethymnon.
In the North visit the Monastery of Arkadios, the ancient town of Eletherna and the Anogia with the Ideon Andro, the cave which cradled the newborn Zeus, the Monastery of Preveli, the Spili and Ayia Galini in the south.
Also, do not miss the town of Chania, the Sfakia, the Gorge of Samaria, Faestos and in the borough of Iraklio, Knossos and the archaeological museum.
